It seems that every week is crazy for our family. We have people going in 50 different directions all the time, and it seems that sitting down for a family meal gets sacrificed more often than not. I’ve been trying really hard to add easy, delicious meals to our menu to make sure that when push comes to shove, I’m able to get dinner on the table in 30 minutes or less.
One of the meals that we love is Manwich Sloppy Joes. It’s something that comes together quickly, brings my family around the table in record time, and I can feel good about making a meal around it. It doesn’t hurt that eating Manwich takes two hands…set those electronics down and enjoy a family meal!
Knowing how much I loved Manwich growing up, I love finding other delicious ways to work it into our menu plan. With three delicious varieties: Original, Bold, and Thick & Chunky, it gives your the freedom to customize your recipes.
I decided to put together Manwich Stuffed French Bread. I knew using the Thick & Chunky sauce with it’s sweet and tangy flavor would be perfect for this recipe.
Manwich Stuffed French Bread
1 loaf french bread
1 can Manwich Thick & Chunky
1 lb lean ground beef
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded italian blend cheese
1/2 cup tomato, diced
3-4 green onions, chopped
Preheat oven at 350°F. In a medium skillet brown ground beef. Drain any grease. Reduce heat to low and add your Manwich Thick & Chunky sauce. Cover and let simmer. Slice your french bread loaf in half lengthwise and place on a baking sheet. Remove the bread from the middle of the loaf. Spoon your Manwich mixture into each loaf half. Next top with the cheddar cheese. After that sprinkle your diced tomatoes on top. Sprinkle with your italian blend cheese, and finally top with the chopped green onions.
Next you are going to place your loaves in the oven for 8-11 minutes. The cheese will be nicely melted. After that, I turned my broiler on low for just a moment or two to brown the top. Take out of the oven and cool slightly before cutting.
You can serve this with a quick green salad and fresh sliced fruit for and easy, delicious meal.
