Well I think it’s time to officially let the secret out…. ( even though some of you may already know). I’m pregnant and due in November! We had the “big” ultrasound and we found out what we are having.
And we couldn’t be more excited, especially our little boy. I think he has felt a little out numbered over the years with 4 sisters and he has been praying everyday that it would be a boy. So to say he is excited would be an understatement! By the time the baby is born it will be almost 8 years since I’ve brought a baby home and I feel like things have changed since then. It seems like styles have changed and I feel a little behind on all the cool baby items!
I have to have c-sections so I always feel like those first few weeks at home are a little rough with trying to recover and also getting back to being a mom. I’m tired and in pain but I’m also trying to soak in every minute with this new little baby because that newborn stage goes by so quickly. I have to admit I’m always a little envious of those moms that come home and are out and about within the week. Sometimes it’s hard and painful to get up and out of bed in the middle of the night to take care of the baby so I’ve always wondered about some kind of co sleeper bed. This way the baby is right next to me and I would think it would be easier to get to them in the middle of the night. I know everyone is different but I am one of those moms that likes to keep my baby in my room with me for as long as I can. I always feel like I’m so far away from them when I put them into their nursery in a crib and sometimes I find myself just waking up to go check on them to make sure they are breathing so it’s almost easier to have them with me. I found a couple of co sleepers I like. Have any of you tried these co sleeper beds? Did you hate them/love them?? I would love to hear your thoughts on them if you have.
This baby does look very happy and snuggly sleeping in this bed!
I ‘m not sure about this one where the baby lies between us in the bed. I’m not sure how comfortable that would be because I move a lot in my sleep and I would probably still roll over onto the baby??
And this picture made me smile because I think as parents we’ve all been there when the baby is taking up most of the bed,
Alright ladies I want you to tell me what fun new baby items you’ve discovered that you love or something that you’ve always used and loved and can’t live without. I have to pretty much buy everything down to bottles again. So tell me what your favorite bottles you like to use, nursing covers, diaper bag, car seats, pacifiers I want to hear!!
