I know I just shared a salad recipe last week but sometimes something is so good you just have to share it. This salad my wonderful mother in law makes often for family dinners and every time we’ve made it we get rave reviews and everyone asks for the recipe.
The recipe couldn’t be simpler…wanna see the ingredient list?
Here they are…
For a nice big salad to take to a group/family dinner I use 2-16ox bags of Cole Slaw cabbage, 1 container of cashews, and 1-12oz bottle of Birannas’ Home Style Poppyseed dressing (it’s my favorite).
Mix it all together in a big bowl. The salad (at these amounts) may seem dry when you first make it, as it sits it will become much more moist so I would make it a little early and check before you serve it. I doubt you’ll need more dressing, I usually start light with the dressing.
You can also half the ingredients and make a smaller salad for a single family. This salad is good one day later without being soggy, I haven’t tried storing it any longer than that (it doesn’t usually last that long around here).
I hope you’ll make it and let me know if you LOVE it like we do!
