Classroom Valentine's Take 1

^cutest 4 year old on the planet right there!!!

My adorable little preschooler had his Valentine party today at school.  He has been so excited to give out his Valentine goodies and I love how he is always so excited to do everything.  He loves making other people happy and that makes my heart sing.

He is slightly obsessed with Ninjas right now (they may be catching up with Dinosaurs but they're not quite there yet) so when I saw these adorable ninja valentines from Mom's Crafty Space I knew they were perfect for him.

His preschool class has only 12 kids in it so I could have fun with the treats.  I made cupcakes for his class.  Cupcakes are one of my favorite things to wrap up and give as treats.

These 9oz cups are perfect for the cupcakes to sit in and they protect the cupcakes in transport nicely.

For the cupcakes I just kept it simple.  He loves the funfetti so I went with that.  I used a tub of vanilla frosting and added some strawberry jello to it to give it a pink color and hopefully some flavor.  Well...it gave it great pink color but did not pick up any of the flavor.  Apparently that trick doesn't actually work.  Oh well, it didn't affect the texture or the taste of the frosting so I just went with it.

I decorated the cupcakes and my cute little man helped me pick just the right candy heart to put on top and then I put them into the cups.

(see how perfectly they sit in the cups?!)

I had the little plastic treat bags on hand so I put the cup inside the bag and then used my favorite wrapping accessory...tulle and tied them up.

We LOVE his teacher.  She is the sweetest lady and works so hard to help them be their very best little selves.  He's the 3rd of my kids to go to her school and she's helped them all start kindergarten out ahead of the game.  She has 4 young children so I thought it would be fun for Mr. Man to take a treat for her family.  I know my kids are always excited for treats to be brought home so hopefully her's are as well.

(He was very excited to give his teacher his gift and just wanted to get inside which is why I got the seriously fake smile.)

For her goodies I did the same thing with the individual cupcakes and then used a disposable pie pan I had on hand (for some reason...I don't actually know how or why I have them here) and arranged them on it and then used clear cellophane and tulle again to wrap it all up.  Thanks to cardswap we had a sweet card to go on it (seen in the photo up there ^) and he's all set for a successful Valentine party!

I have 4 more parties to get treats ready for along with a baby shower and a young women's activity...busy week!!!

    1. Thanks Alexis. I know I'm a bit biased but I sure love him. I love the cup trick, it always adds just a little extra to the packaging.
