Vintique, sickies, Downton Abbey, and science fair projects

Today we were struck with a bit of a change of plans.  Little Missy woke up with a fever, runny nose, and nasty cough :(  Poor baby just wasn't feeling well for long.  It seemed the medicine would last a couple hours and then the fever would be right back up and we'd have to deal until she could have more medicine.  She wanted lots of snuggles which gave me time to watch pretty much every episode of Downton Abbey (are you watching?  Oh my goodness it's one of those shows I could just let play all day every day, how did I not know about it before?) and to play with a new app I put on my phone that Gena told me about.  Have you heard of Vintique yet?  Am I the last person to hear about it like I was Downton Abbey?

It's pretty awesome.  It works along with instagram or works on it's own.  It gives you a whole lot more  options and it's so fun.  There is a free version or you can buy it for a whole $0.99!  It's great.  I think it makes my iphone pictures look better than normal, don't you?

This was the original picture just out of my phone:

Here is the same picture with just a little "Vintique" adjusting.

She was wanting lots of mommy time.

Her poor eyes.  She wasn't even crying, her eyes just kept tearing up every time the fever would come back up.

Can I just say how much I hate homework?  I especially hate homework that 14 year olds put off for way to long and keep us up late trying to get done at the last minute.  I shouldn't complain too much.  Nate is doing the bulk of the helping and I'm just...well...still watching Downton Abbey.  I think I'm finally on the last episode of Season 2 while they're in the kitchen finishing this 20 hour experiment (and please don't ask me what they're doing because I have NO idea!).

I'm hoping that Little Missy sleeps well tonight and wakes up feeling better so that maybe I can be a bit more productive than I was today.  It'll probably also help that I have no more episodes of this show to watch, now I have to wait until Sunday.  One question though!  What's the deal with the tiny envelopes?  They make me laugh every time someone opens one of them.

Have a great night and a wonderful Tuesday!

  1. Her poor eyes make me so sad. Is she feeling any better today? I'm thinking I may need to start watching this Downton Abbey. It seems like everyone that watches it really loves it. I've been watching Parenthood on Netflix trying to catch up and I'm really loving it!

    1. She is so sad and not any better at all today, the medicine is helping bring down the fever we just have to keep up on it. You should watch it, it's seriously awesome. They do a great job at making you love/hate the people you're suppose to love/hate! I love Parenthood :)
