Through a bit of blog hopping this morning I came across this post over at Plucky Momo‘s blog. It took me about 2 seconds to take the challenge. I had thrown my hair in a ponytail this morning and just some random clothes while getting everyone ready for school, I am far from ready for the day but I agree so 100% with the challenge of the post I just grabbed the camera, tripod and remote and took the pictures anyway. My apologies in advance for the too many pictures you’ll be seeing of me this year. I’ll probably keep most of them on the family blog but I’ll probably also share some here.
The challenge is to step out from behind the camera and get in the pictures with our children. Stop with the excuses (not ready, not pretty enough, too fat, no makeup, etc…) your kids won’t care. They will want pictures of you and they’ll want pictures of you with them.
Here’s little Missy and I this morning. She’s mostly ready (except that wild hair) and I’m not at all. Added bonus for you…you get to see a sneak peek of my new couch!
Normally I would never share ^ that picture. I look like such a dork but she makes that face all the time and it always makes me laugh so there you go.
The challenge is to get in the pictures with your children every month. I’m going to work on trying to get a few of me with each of the kids this month to start off the new year and then I’ll probably do more group shots and stuff each month and not necessarily individual shots with each child…but we’ll see. Maybe it’ll be a fun thing we can all do together. I know if I tell the kids to make sure and remind me they won’t let me forget!
I hope you’ll take the challenge and if you do I hope you’ll share the pictures with us!
