The 6 year old very recently became the 7 year old and she got to have her very 1st slumber party!
Nate is pretty well known for his awesome pancakes. I think that is why we always have such a great turnout at our slumber parties.
This party she had a couple requests. She’s been so excited for the holidays and has been dressing in any/everything she could come up with that is “Christmas” related (in fact she couldn’t figure out why I wouldn’t let her wear a red shirt with a white shirt over it for 3 days in a row since she has 3 red long sleeve shirts and 3 white short sleeve shirts and it looks like a candy cane!). It’s been cute. I love that she’s embracing her December birthday. I was doing her hair and she said “I am so glad my birthday is so close to Christmas” and so I said “why?” and she said because I get to open presents for my birthday and I don’t have to wait very long and then I get to open presents all over again”. Her requests were Reeses Pieces, chocolate chip and of course candy cane.
So, back to the Candy Cane Pancakes!
The amount of candy cane is totally up to you and how much flavor you want.
