So, I think it was back on Thursday or maybe even yesterday that I said I was going to spend this weekend getting pictures and things added to the blog and so to come back and see?…
Well, unless a miracle happens tomorrow (which I don’t see happening since I have church from 11-2 followed by visiting teaching at 2:30, BYC at 3 and then dinner at 4) those pictures might have to wait a little bit longer.
As I mentioned last night I got a wild hair to have all my nieces stay the night and I am so glad I did. Sometime around 1 I finally got them all settled down and the last few started to fall asleep and I actually slept pretty well, they did too thankfully.
At 7 when the baby was pretty wide awake and everyone else was sleeping I went to find her a couple toys to play with and I walked into the front room and everyone was asleep except my 7 year old niece, she was just sitting up and when she turned at looked at me I said “Honey, why don’t you lay back down it’s still early and everyone else is still sleeping” to which she replied (sounding a bit sad about the fact) “I always wake up this early, no matter what”. I convinced her to at least lay back down and watch some cartoons while everyone else was still sleeping so she wouldn’t be ready for a nap by the time they all were waking up and then around 8:30 or so everyone started getting up.
We had a blast today, I took pictures but there weren’t enough hours in the day for me to edit them all and get them posted.
They all had fun playing a variety of different things as they were waking up this morning and then the fabulous Paula came over and made us all ableskivers for breakfast when we were joined by the equally fabulous GG and Lisa. The ableskivers were a huge hit with the kids and it kept them busy while we visited for a little bit.
After breakfast my favorite time of the day happened:
